Chamonix’s Genucel Sponsors A Walk To Help The Victims Of Abuse Recover

Abuse commonly leads to low self-esteem, thoughts of self-harm and low self-worth. Mental health professionals and survivors recommend self-care routines to remind these individuals they are beautiful, loved and worthy. Some survivors require time to believe this but studies have demonstrated continued affirmations can change how people feel about themselves. Art or dance can also focus negative energy. It is important to remain healthy, exercise and use proper hygiene.

One of the subsidiaries of Chamonix is called Genucel. They are showing their support for the children and women exposed to abuse with beauty bags filled with Genucel products and toiletries. Another organization supporting battered families is Middlesex of New Jersey. Statistics show 25 percent of the women in the United States and one of every seven men have been victimized by domestic abuse. New Jersey has one of the highest rates of domestic violence.

Women Aware began providing shelter, food, emergency shelter, hotlines and an abuse recovery program for women and their families in New Jersey in 1981. The 5K Race & Charity Walk through Moving Beyond Abuse showed their support and raised funds for the victims of abuse. Many of the survivors experience anxiety, depression and PTSD after abuse. Ecotherapy has become standard for abuse survivors and enables groups to learn about native plants, go for walks and experience nature.

Walking for thirty minutes per day impacts the body and skin, keeps the body healthy and fit, raises self-esteem and enhances circulation. Genucel by Chamonix contributed to the 5K walk, and gave bags containing anti-aging products to the women staying at Women Aware. Genucel understands confidence is an extremely important part of the process of healing. Their products have made a major difference for the women impacted by domestic abuse.

Genucel has products created to work with aged and damaged skin. They decrease the appearance of wrinkles related to age. This helps with the dark circles beneath the eyes often seen in abuse survivors due to depression and sleeplessness. Physical abuse does impact the appearance and skin of the victims. Chamonix’s Genucel was the sponsor for the 5K Moving Beyond Abuse walk for 2018. Their patented PhotoCellTec technology is derived using the Malus Domestica plant and decreases both divots and wrinkles.

When issues related to the skin are lessened in the victims of abuse, it makes an important difference. Genucel understands this will not only help raise self-esteem, but help painful memories of the past fade away. Learn more about Genucel on LinkedIn.
